University of Pavia and University of Naples “Federico II” with the Stress Consortium (the Campania region’s high-tech sustainable building district) continues its collaboration for the developing of a 3D printing method for modular reinforced concrete beams.

This week, after months of effort, the assembly final stage of the second 3d printed beam project has been concluded. This time, the concept of shape freedom enabled by the additive manufacturing approach has been totally exploited. The second designed beam, in fact, presents the characteristic Volcano Vesuvius’ profile!
